This is coastal wandering at its finest—France, the Channel Islands, and the wild beauty of the West Country, all connected by the steady pull of the sea.
From the UK to France — A Change of Light
We slip south across the Channel, watching the colour of the water shift as French shores rise ahead. Days unfold in a rhythm of sailing, exploring, and savouring simple meals inspired by the coast. Harbours, markets, cafés—each stop a small immersion in a different way of living by the sea.
The Channel Islands — Wild Edges, Quiet Depths
We thread between islands shaped by tide and time. Jersey, Guernsey, Sark—each with its own character, its own hidden anchorages, its own stories. Clear water invites a swim if conditions allow; evenings settle into golden light and the soft creak of timber as the boat rests at anchor.
Homeward via the West Country — Rugged and Restorative
Turning back toward the UK, we follow the curve of the West Country coastline. Cornwall, Devon—dramatic cliffs, sheltered coves, and villages that feel like they’ve held onto something timeless. We sail, we wander ashore, we let the days stretch long and easy.
